Mon P'tit Pithon Rouge by Olivier Pithon — Organic Roussillon Red via Emile Wines
Mon P'tit Pithon Rouge is a crunchy, chillable natural red from Olivier Pithon — one of Roussillon's most respected biodynamic producers. A blend of Grenache Noir, Mourvedre and Syrah from organic vineyards near the Pyrenees, it's all about bright fruit, peppery spice and the kind of easy-going drinkability that makes an entire bottle vanish without ceremony.
Crunchy, peppery and made to be chilled
This is a red wine that thrives straight from the fridge. Serve it at 8–10°C and you get fresh cherry, blueberry, a pop of cranberry tartness and a lemon-zest finish that keeps things lively. It's an equal-parts blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah — whole-berry fermented, aged seven months in concrete, and bottled with minimal sulphites. Light-bodied with soft, gentle structure. The French call this a vin de soif — a wine for thirst.
Biodynamic farming in the foothills of the Pyrenees
Olivier Pithon farms 22 hectares near Calce in the Pyrenees-Orientales, with views stretching from the Mediterranean to the mountains. He's been certified organic since the start and practises biodynamic methods across the estate. The fruit for Mon P'tit Pithon comes from local organic growers he works with closely — making this an accessible entry point to wines from one of southern France's most exciting producers.
The bottle you open on a Tuesday
Mon P'tit Pithon Rouge isn't a special-occasion wine and it doesn't pretend to be. It's the bottle you crack midweek with whatever's in the fridge, take round to a mate's house, or pour at a barbecue without a second thought. The label is simple and cool — it looks good on your table without shouting about it.

Who is Olivier Pithon?
Olivier Pithon is a biodynamic winemaker based in Calce, in the Roussillon region of southern France. Originally from the Loire Valley (his brother is the celebrated producer Jo Pithon), Olivier started his own domaine in 2001 after being captivated by the landscape of the Pyrenees-Orientales. He farms 22 hectares of old vines on marl, limestone and schist soils, practising certified organic and biodynamic viticulture.
Is Mon P'tit Pithon Rouge vegan?
The wine is made without fining agents, using only indigenous yeasts and minimal sulphites. It's fermented as whole berries in stainless steel and aged in concrete.
