Nouvelle Vigne — Natural Bordeaux by Clapton Craft
This is what natural Bordeaux actually looks like. Nouvelle Vigne is proof that you don't need flashy marketing — just 45-year-old vines, organic soil, and six generations of people who know what they're doing. A proper red wine that tastes like place and care.
Six generations of Château Peybonhomme-Les-Tours
Since 1895, this family has been making wine in Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux. When a winemaking family has been in the same place for 130 years, they understand the soil in ways newcomers simply can't. Nouvelle Vigne is the result of that accumulated knowledge applied to modern natural winemaking.
Cabernet Franc and Merlot on old vines
A 50/50 blend of two classic Bordeaux grapes grown on vines with decades of maturity. Those old vines go deep into limestone and clay soils, giving the wine structure and mineral complexity. Young vines make approachable wine. Old vines make wines with something to say.
Organic, biodynamic, naturally made
Château Peybonhomme works the land organically and uses biodynamic principles — thinking about the whole ecosystem, not just the grapes. Minimal intervention, no unnecessary additions, wines that ferment naturally and age with intention. This is what ""natural wine"" means when it's done properly.
Black fruits, warm spice, and proper structure
Expect black currant and red currant, dried herbs, tobacco leaf, cedar, and warm spice. Fine structure without aggression — balance that comes from old vines and thoughtful winemaking. Smooth mouthfeel that invites you to sit with it. Browse our full red wine collection for more quality reds.
About Clapton Craft
Clapton Craft has spent over a decade building something rare: a network of independent bottle shops that actually champion real winemaking. They're a bridge between London's natural wine culture and shops like Natty — proper Bordeaux made the right way, distributed by people who understand it. Also from Clapton Craft: Moinho Velho Vinho Verde. Explore the full Clapton Craft range at Natty.
Who is Nouvelle Vigne for?
Proper dinner nights. Braised meats, game, anything rich and earthy. It improves with a bit of air time, so pour it and let it settle. Works solo if you just want a proper glass at the end of the day.
