Good Day Pet Nat, Top Cuvée, United Kingdom

Top Cuvee Good Day Pet Nat — English Natural Sparkling Wine

Good Day Pet Nat is a naturally sparkling English wine made for Top Cuvee by Ben Walgate — the winemaker behind Tillingham, one of the UK's most respected natural wine projects. Blending Sussex-grown Pinot Noir, Rondo, Phoenix and Seyval grapes, it's strawberry-hued, vibrantly juicy and absurdly easy to drink. This is British fizz with serious fun energy.

English grapes, natural fizz, proper flavour

Pet nat — short for pétillant naturel — is sparkling wine made the old-fashioned way: bottled mid-fermentation so it finishes fizzing naturally, no added sugar or carbonation. Good Day takes four different grape varieties grown in England and turns them into something zippy, fruity and refreshing. Think pink grapefruit, rhubarb and strawberry with a clean, crisp finish. At 10.5% ABV, it's light enough for an afternoon in the park but interesting enough to hold your attention.

Made by one of England's best natural winemakers

Ben Walgate is the real deal. He founded Tillingham in East Sussex — a natural wine estate that's earned a cult following for its skin-contact, pet nat and still wines. His rosé pet nats have been some of the most talked-about English wines in recent years. Good Day was made specifically for Top Cuvee, combining Walgate's winemaking chops with Cuvee's knack for picking bottles people actually want to drink. The result is an English sparkling wine with proper pedigree that doesn't take itself too seriously.

The label that says ""I have good taste""

Top Cuvee's branding is instantly recognisable — bold, fun and a million miles from the stuffy wine world. The Good Day bottle looks as good on a picnic blanket as it does on your kitchen shelf. It's the kind of wine you bring somewhere and people photograph before they drink it. Aesthetics matter, and this bottle delivers.

About Top Cuvee

What started as a Highbury neighbourhood restaurant in 2019 quickly became one of London's most exciting natural wine brands. Co-founders Brodie Meah and Max Venning turned a COVID pivot into a genuine empire: Shop Cuvee now operates two physical shops, a Bethnal Green wine bar called Cave Cuvee, a thriving subscription service, and their own range of house wines — including this pet nat collaboration with Ben Walgate. Their fizzy orange branding, inspired by old French and Belgian cartoons, has become a badge of the natural wine scene.

We stock Top Cuvee because they do exactly what we're about: making great wine fun and accessible, not stuffy and intimidating. Explore the full Top Cuvee range at All Natty.

Also from Top Cuvee: Mulled Wine, Mulled Cider.

When should you drink Good Day Pet Nat?

If you're looking for something sparkling that isn't champagne or prosecco, this is where to start. It's brilliant for picnics, barbecues, lazy Sunday lunches or any time you want bubbles without the ceremony. Crack it open with Neapolitan pizza, BBQ food, or just a sunny afternoon and good company.

It's also a fantastic introduction to natural wine if you've never tried it. Pet nat is friendly, approachable and — let's be honest — just more fun than most sparkling wines. If you enjoy this, explore more of our skin-contact and orange wines for something equally adventurous.

Frequently asked questions

What does Good Day Pet Nat taste like?

It's a strawberry-hued sparkling wine with flavours of pink grapefruit, rhubarb and fresh berries. It's zippy and clean with natural fizz — lighter and more refreshing than traditional sparkling wines. The blend of Pinot Noir, Rondo, Phoenix and Seyval grapes gives it a fruity, easy-drinking character at 10.5% ABV.

How should you serve Good Day Pet Nat?

Chill it as cold as you can — properly cold, not just ""been in the fridge for ten minutes"" cold. Open it very carefully over a sink or outside, because pet nats can be lively. Pour into wine glasses and enjoy. It's perfect with pizza, barbecue food, lighter cheeses or just on its own in the sunshine.

Can I buy Good Day Pet Nat in Bristol?

Yes — All Natty stocks Good Day Pet Nat online and at our Willway Yard bottle shop in Bedminster (open Fridays and Saturdays). Order online before 2pm for same-day delivery across BS1–BS16, or we ship UK-wide within two days.

What is a pet nat wine?

Pet nat stands for pétillant naturel — naturally sparkling wine. Unlike champagne or prosecco, the fizz comes from bottling the wine before fermentation finishes, so the bubbles form naturally inside the bottle. No added sugar, no second fermentation, no carbonation. It's one of the oldest methods of making sparkling wine and it's having a massive moment right now.

Who made Good Day Pet Nat?

It was made by Ben Walgate, the winemaker behind Tillingham in East Sussex — one of England's most respected natural wine estates. Walgate created Good Day specifically for Top Cuvee using Sussex-grown grapes. It's a collaboration between a world-class winemaker and one of London's biggest natural wine brands.
