Serious chocolate craftsmanship
Quirky Chocolate has been hand-crafting small batches in Edinburgh since 2008. Founded by Sandra Colamartino — who combined a design career with a passion for chocolate — the company has been producing from their own factory (a converted art deco primary school at the base of Arthur's Seat) since 2016. They source single-origin cocoa from traceable, sustainably grown farms. No shortcuts, no corporate greenwashing. Just good chocolate made properly.
Caramelised hazelnuts that hit different
The hazelnuts here aren't just thrown in. They're toasted until crispy, then caramelised to bring out deep nutty sweetness. Paired with smooth milk chocolate, you get contrast: crunch against creaminess, toasted nuttiness against sweet cocoa. Sandra started Quirky Chocolate at 40, combining her design background with a love of chocolate that borders on obsession. Every bar is made in small batches in Edinburgh, using sustainably sourced cocoa and Scottish flavour inspiration.
